This animation depicts how the Italian mathematician Fibonacci was able to find a mathematical link between organic growth and human aesthetics. Uniting the number-philosophy of the Pythagorean school to contemporary research in organic growth, Fibonacci and the Golden Mean shows us that mathematics can be a tool for unlocking the mysteries of nature and beauty.
Written, designed, and animated by Beau Janzen for the Palladian Group.

Fibonacci and the Golden Mean is now available in a DVD compilation of Zipheron short films in our on-line store.
